A surgical care role is available in a well-equipped unit specializing in post-surgical and general surgery patient populations. This contract position is based in Girdwood, AK, with opportunities to work within a dedicated team utilizing advanced clinical technology and documentation systems.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse with Med/Surg experience
- Proficient in nursing procedures including NG tube and central line care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Familiarity with clinical documentation systems, such as Epic, preferred
- Ability to work within a surgical care unit setting with a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 6:1
- Flexibility to float to like med/surg units when required
Schedule/Hours:
- Commitment to 4 weekend shifts per schedule cycle
- Navy scrubs required as part of the dress code
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-surgical and general surgery patients
- Assist with procedures and manage complex patient equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient documentation consistent with hospital policies
- Adapt to the surgical care units protocols and floating assignments as necessary
