This position will be fully dedicated to advancing automation within the revenue cycle and will be a member of the Henry Ford Health Automation Center of Excellence. As such this position will work closely with a wide group of leaders and team members from both Revenue Cycle and Information Technology. Areas of focus will include but are not limited to

  • Be the automation subject matter expert and evangelist within Revenue Cycle
  • Surveil existing and emerging automation technologies
  • Work closely with Revenue Cycle operations to match automation technologies with impactful real world use cases
  • Assess automation ideas to determine the appropriate path forward
  • Collaborate with IT and Revenue Cycle operations on design, build, and test for any internally developed automations
  • Monitor and report on performance of automations

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • A degree in industrial or related engineering, nursing, business administration (with quality/operations improvement emphasis), healthcare administration (with quality/operations improvement emphasis), organizational development, human factors, a science degree in a related field, or similar field preferred.
  • No experience required.
  • Equivalent industry training and experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage, simultaneous assignments with potentially conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable while still meeting goals and due dates.
  • Experience applying problem solving approaches.
  • Growing base of analytical/technical, facilitative, and process improvement tools/knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of effective data gathering techniques.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed working environment.
