Job title: Cloud Security Engineer (Remote) Company: Revenue Solutions Inc Job description: Description: We are welcoming a remote Azure Security Engineer to join our Technology/Product Development Cloud Services Team at RSI. In this role, internally titled, Cloud Security Engineer, you are expected to lead conversations across multiple divisions and product groups to drive, determine, and continuously improve the security control baselines for multiple Azure Tenants leveraged across all internal RSI tenants and client tenants. Our Cloud Security Engineer will work with development, QA, support, and executive teams to understand and minimize potential downstream impacts. In this role, you will look for ways to automate control remediations and drive towards a secure by default environment. The Cloud Security Engineer is a trusted voice who shares the knowledge and expertise about securing RSI's assets, client environments, and product development. Our Cloud Security Engineer can work remotely from a home office in the United States. The majority of the work will be performed during business hours in the Pacific time zone. Key responsibilities: • Responsible for complete security controls baselines for multiple Azure Tenants, Subscriptions, and Resources • Apply a risk-based approach to anticipate the need to add/update Azure security controls leveraging security expertise, partner/client feedback, industry trends, and other data insights • Continuously assess the baseline security control's effectiveness • Define Azure security controls and work across organizations to drive their successful and timely implementation • Develop prescriptive guidance for Engineers to meet the control requirements and provide subject matter expertise in the implementation of secure Azure services • Leverage native capabilities and/or develop scripts to facilitate compliance to the established security controls • Identify new capabilities that will strengthen RSI's security posture and work with product team and professional services team achieve said capabilities through influence and sound data driven justification • Communicate state of baseline compliance to leadership Requirements: • Strong interest in cyber security technologies • Desire to work in a team environment • 3+ years of experience in IT systems and/or infrastructure, supporting enterprise-scale security solutions • 3+ years of experience in security engineering and operations • Meticulous planning and reporting skills • Deep understanding of Operating system internal working – like kernel processes, privilege levels for both Windows and Linux / Mac • Excellent understanding of Cyber Security Operations and Incident Response processes • A strong technical and business understanding of endpoint cyber tool methodologies • Knowledge of TCP/IP network fundamentals • Excellent understanding of Intune and all security blades, including Defender • Good understanding of Microsoft cloud security technologies including: • Azure Role-based access control (RBAC) • Azure AD Privileged Identity Management (PIM) • Azure AD Identity Protection (User risk policy and sign-in risk policy) • O365 Threat Protection • O365 ATP (Anti-phishing protection, anti-spoofing, anti-spam protection, Safe-Attachments, Safe Links, anti-malware solution, and tests using Attack Simulator) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Verbal and written soft skills to support the software deployment and troubleshooting timelines across many different departments in an enterprise environment Preferred skills, experience, and competencies: • Bachelor's Degree in related field • Preferred to have certification such as AZ-500 • Understanding of industry best practices, Regulatory/compliance standards such as CIS, NIST and FedRamp RSI is an equal opportunity employer.
